Job summary

Astute People seeks a Stores Coordinator for a site in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The role focuses on controlling inventory movements in CMMS, logging deliveries, and maintaining stock accuracy.

You will perform cycle counts, Kanban replenishment, COSHH material management, and ensure 5S standards and safe access throughout the store.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse/inventory role.
• Understanding of inventory control concepts (Reorder points, safe stock levels).
• Strong housekeeping standards.
• Strong Health and Safety awareness.
• Able to identify engineering spare parts.
• Experience of CMMS system.

Responsibilities

• Control outgoing items and record movements in CMMS/PPMs.
• Log deliveries into CMMS and assign to correct store locations.
• Record deliveries through ready-to-receipt system and integrate with relevant systems.
• Conduct stock checks using CMMS inventory reports.
• Perform cycle counts and full stock audits for accuracy.
• Adhere to Kanban replenishment for consumables and fast-moving parts.
• Control LO.LER equipment sign-out/sign-in procedures.
• Maintain COSHH materials storage and compliance.
• Keep stores organised with clear access and 5S labelling.
• Ensure safe walkways to exits, showers, and stores.
• Operate telehandler and forklift for store movements.
• Perform other duties as required.

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading innovator in renewable energy production, specialising in biogas plants, to recruit a Stores Coordinator for their site in South Ayrshire, Scotland.

Responsibilities and duties of the Stores Coordinator role

Reporting To The Maintenance Team Leader You Will

• Controlling all outgoing items and ensuring these are recorded against CMMS movements / PPMs (Planned Preventive Maintenance).
• Accepting and logging all deliveries of stock items into CMMS and registering them to correct store locations.
• Recording deliveries through the ready-to-receipt system and ensuring integration with relevant systems.
• Conducting stock checks of selected areas using CMMS inventory reports.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic full stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to Kanban replenishment systems for commonly used consumables and fast-moving parts to ensure continuous availability while minimising excess stock.
• Controlling LOLER equipment, ensuring sign-out / sign-in procedures are adhered to.
• Responsible for COSHH materials within the stores area, ensuring safe storage and compliance with standards.
• Maintaining stores organisation to ensure clear and safe access routes.
• Maintain stores organisation using 5S principles, ensuring clear labelling, location control and efficient retrieval of materials.
• Continuously checking and organising stock to ensure clear safe walkway passage to Emergency Exits/Shower and EC & I Store.
• Use of telehandler and forklift for movements within the stores.
• Other duties as required

Professional Qualifications

• COSH or IOSH is desired
• Forklift licence is desired
