Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking an experienced BIM Technician to deliver CAD/BIM design data, support clash detection and develop the common data environment across Autodesk CC/BIM360 platforms. You will help create a standard BIM element library and ensure secure handling of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with designers to balance time, cost and quality, communicate with stakeholders, and mentor junior technicians while contributing to chartership‑level

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in CAD/BIM or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more Autodesk authoring packages.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater projects and data environments.
• Experience in authoring 3D models in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360.
• Understanding of ISO 19650 principles.
• Strong communication skills and effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and contribute to CAD/BIM standards.
• Use 3D modelling to support design collaboration and clash resolution.
• Support development of the common data environment (Autodesk CC/BIM360).
• Create and develop a standard BIM element library for model reuse.
• Ensure cyber security of CAD/BIM data and access.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into models.
• Collaborate with designers to balance time, cost and quality.
• Manage safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability in BIM output.
• Coach and mentor junior BIM technicians and guide professional development.
