Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a BIM Technician to deliver CAD/BIM outputs across water projects from concept to commissioning. You will develop 3D models, support design collaboration, and ensure BIM data is integrated into common data environments throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work with designers to manage time, cost and quality, while ensuring cyber security and data governance in BIM/CAD deliverables. Durham-based, permanent role with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in CAD/BIM or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more Autodesk authoring packages (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of water or wastewater projects.
• Experience in authoring 3D models in Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360.
• Understanding of working in a common data environment (CDE) and managing BIM data throughout the lifecycle.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and QA processes; contribute to CAD/BIM standards.
• Create and use 3D models to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, and cost capture.
• Develop and support the common data environment platform (Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360).
• Create and maintain a standardised BIM element library for model reuse and low-carbon solutions.
• Manage cyber security aspects related to CAD/BIM data and access.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into our models.
• Collaborate with designers to balance time, cost and quality; support safety, wellbeing, environment and sustainability in BIM/CAD outputs.
• Mentor less experienced BIM technicians and provide technical guidance.
