Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a BIM Technician to deliver CAD/BIM data across water projects in Exeter from concept to commissioning. You will ensure BIM data is accurate and integrated within our common data environment.

Role requires Revit/Civil 3D proficiency, 3D modelling in a CDE, ISO 19650 knowledge, and collaboration with designers to balance time, cost and quality. Professional development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in CAD/BIM or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in one or more 3D authoring packages, ideally Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D, plus 2D CAD experience.
• Knowledge of water or wastewater projects and experience with a CDE (Autodesk CC).
• Understanding of information management as set out in ISO 19650.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CAD/BIM design data and perform quality control; contribute to CAD/BIM standards.
• Use 3D modelling to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, and cost capture.
• Support the development of the common data environment platform and process (Autodesk CC).
• Create and develop a standardised BIM element library to support model reuse and low-carbon solutions.
• Take responsibility for cyber security aspects of CAD/BIM data and access.
• Validate CAD/BIM models from suppliers and integrate into our models.
• Work with designers to balance time, cost and quality.
