Job description

Job Title: Billing Supervisor

Salary Range: 31,000-34,000

Job Overview:

Following the promotion of the current incumbent, a new opportunity has arisen for a Billing Supervisor to work under the Head of Customer Billing. You will lead a small team of three Billing Specialists, coaching and mentoring staff, and managing various billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Take overall responsibility for weekly patient billing, embassy billing, and other ad hoc billing tasks.
  2. Manage insurance billing, daily health-code billing, and resolve rejections from insurance companies, including contacting practices and patients for missing information.
  3. Manage the billing inbox, assist with process improvements, cover staff absences, and catch up on backlogs.
  4. Assist the Head of Customer Billing in managing billing assistants and cashiers, and support invoice and credit note issuance.
  5. Support the team in achieving objectives by understanding the impact of their tasks on targets and KPIs.
  6. Assist in payment allocation and reconciliation of customer accounts.
  7. Support credit control activities, handle queries, and escalate issues as needed.
  8. Collaborate with Credit Control Supervisors to improve processes.
  9. Establish and maintain professional relationships with insurance companies and embassies.
