Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join its finance team. This office-based role in Datchet focuses on accurate and timely billing across a multi-entity organisation, collaborating with Finance, Credit Control, and Operations to resolve complex queries and ensure invoices meet contractual requirements.

The role offers hands-on ownership of a varied billing function with strong emphasis on process improvement and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Billing, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable environments.
• Strong understanding of billing processes and financial controls.
• Experience managing high-volume billing activity.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confident communication with stakeholders across a business.
• Proficiency with Excel and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely customer invoices across multiple entities.
• Ensure billing aligns with contractual terms and deadlines.
• Review billing queries and resolve invoicing issues.
• Maintain customer pricing, contracts and billing data.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve billing issues promptly.
• Support cash collection with Credit Control.
• Perform billing reconciliations and monitor backlogs.
• Assist month-end close and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide documentation for audits and requests.
• Produce billing reports and monitor volumes and backlogs.
• Identify process improvements for billing controls and efficiency.
• Support system improvements and finance transformation projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing disputes.
