Job summary

Reed Accountancy is assisting a Burgess Hill–based company in seeking a Billing Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with SLAs.

The role focuses on supervising daily workflows, developing the team, managing workload, and supporting billing strategies while maintaining data integrity across monthly cycles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in a billing operation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Advanced numerical and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel user with familiarity of enterprise billing software.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to diagnose and solve billing errors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and organize the daily workflow of the billing department to meet deadlines.
• Provide ongoing support to the department, identifying skill gaps and training needs.
• Monitor workload, allocate tasks and support billing tasks and reporting during peak periods.
• Oversee monthly billing cycles and recharge reporting, ensuring data integrity.
• Develop and implement complex billing strategies.
• Audit outputs to identify and correct recurring data errors.
• Act as the escalation point for complex billing disputes.
• Analyse billing anomalies and collaborate on long-term fixes.
• Work closely with commercial operations and development teams to ensure efficient operations.
