Job summary

PTSG Electrical Services is seeking a Billing and Finance Manager for our Castleford office. You will lead the billing team, ensure accurate invoicing and timely completion of customer deadlines, and manage invoice queries across multiple platforms.

Based in our Castleford office, you will guide operations, prepare management reports, and drive process improvements while maintaining a proactive, collaborative accounting function.

Billing and Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Billing and Finance Manager to join our finance team on a full time, permanent basis, working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be based from our Castleford office (WF10 5HW) which has free on-site parking and great transport links.

This role will lead the billing team for our Electrical Services division, ensuring efficient billing processes in line with customer deadlines and service line agreements. You will also manage invoice queries and work to resolve these.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate and communicate with Business Units in the Electrical Services Division to ensure accuracy in billing operations




• Train and guide the team on billing operations and procedures




• Prepare and present reports to the management team on billing status




• Raise consolidated invoices and AFP's for multiple customers




• Manage resolution of queries relating to Electrical Services Division, liaising with internal customers to resolves issues/queries




• Manage Portal billing on several platforms.




• Manage processing of all customer invoices and credit notes.




• Identify errors which have led to incorrect billing and investigating anomalies, working with operations to improve processes to reduced errors




• Ad-hoc billing including pass-through

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Billing Manager or similar role demonstrating ability to manage and lead a team




• Excellent leadership and organisational skills




• Strong communication skills




• Good organisation and time management skills with high attention to detail and an ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to meet timescales and deadlines




• Excellent IT, especially Excel and Sage 200 accounting.




• A resilient, proactive hands-on individual with strong results orientation, capable of focusing on both immediate needs and longer-term system reporting improvements




• Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills




• Ability to build strong relationships
