Job summary

Ysgol Gymunedol Talybont is seeking two caring, patient Teaching Assistants Level 2 to support Foundation Learning learners. Work with the class teacher to help pupils access the curriculum, develop independence and achieve their potential in a nurturing environment.

Two fixed-term posts run until 31 August 2028; one starts 30 November 2026 and the other 4 January 2027. Welsh and English fluency is required and a DBS check is part of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills; confident using ICT to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support for pupils, including those with additional educational needs; ensure safety and access to learning.
• Deliver outreach support and assist with Individual Education Plans.
