Job summary

Talybont Primary School in Ceredigion is seeking two caring Teaching Assistants Level 2 to support Foundation Learning pupils. You will work closely with the class teacher to help individuals and small groups access the curriculum in an inclusive setting.

Two fixed-term posts run until 31 August 2028, starting 30 November 2026 or 4 January 2027. DBS required; Welsh and English fluency essential; NVQ3 or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate fluently in Welsh and English.
• Has experience working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• Holds NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Has good literacy and numeracy skills and is confident using ICT to support learning.
• Understands child development, learning strategies, and relevant policies.
• Is flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Has first aid training or is willing to undertake it.

Ysgol Gymunedol Talybont is seeking two caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants Level 2 to support learners within our Foundation Learning Class. The successful candidates will work closely with the class teacher to provide high-quality support for individual pupils and small groups, helping them to access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

There are two fixed-term positions available until 31 August 2028. One post will commence on 30 November 2026 and the other on 4 January 2027. We would like the successful candidates to start as close to these dates as possible.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
