Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Bid Writer to support its Pre-Construction Team. The role focuses on producing high-quality bid content for tender submissions, reflecting client requirements and technical accuracy, with collaboration across Estimators and Project Managers.

Flexible part-time options are available, with work based from the Essex, Avonmouth, or Stoke offices. The firm offers hybrid working and a clear pathway for professional qualifications and chartership.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Bid Writing, Proposals, Estimating support, or similar in remediation, enabling works, earthworks, civil engineering, or groundworks.
• Strong written communication translating technical info into clear content.
• Highly organised with attention to detail, document control, and deadlines.
• Desirable but not essential: qualification in civil/structural engineering, environmental science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and format bid responses to align with tender requirements.
• Review tender documents (Phase 1 & 2 Reports, GI Logs, Remediation Strategies) to extract key info.
• Collaborate with Estimators, Project Managers and Pre-Construction team for inputs.
• Produce Scoping Letters, Method Statements, Programmes, and narrative bid elements.
• Prepare standardised and bespoke content for PQQs, ITTs, capability statements, and supporting bid documents.
• Coordinate input from Project Managers and Engineers to ensure accuracy across documents.
