Job summary

Talk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Bid Writer for a Derbyshire-based building contractor. You will craft compelling bid documents, coordinate content, and coordinate submissions while coordinating with internal teams to deliver high quality, tailored client proposals.

The role requires excellent writing, editing, and copywriting skills, plus experience with construction sector tenders. A degree and proficiency in MS Office are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High-quality written work and pride in output.
• Experience as Bid Writer, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager or equivalent.
• Ideally built on building/construction sector projects (civils/housing).
• Good English language, grammar and communication skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and desktop publishing tools.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality winning proposal documents and coordinate content.
• Manage submission processes where required.
• Gather technical information from internal departments to create bespoke client solutions.
• Participate in story boarding and development of strategic themes.
• Ensure proposals meet tender programme requirements and are of high quality.
• Proofreading material and providing technical and commercial writing input.
• Developing bespoke proposals and template responses.
• Building relationships with cross-functional teams.
