An exciting opportunity for Bid Writers to explore the next step of their career within a supportive team who will develop you to manage your own bids, we are looking for a Bid Writer to join our Bid Management team. You will join an established and experienced Bid Management team and be exposed to all the stages of a bid process within an environment that coaches and guides you to increase your skills and experience. Ensuring no two days are the same, you will work across different subject matter and with colleagues across the organisation.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Bid Management, the role will consist of :

  • Writing compelling tenders - from storyboarding through review processes for SQs and ITTs.
  • Using our AI bid writing software.
  • Developing and editing existing content through continuous improvement practices to ensure every bid is better than the last.
  • Personalising bids to customers’ requirements and scoring criteria.
  • Attending and feeding into key bid process calls.
  • Identifying win themes and strategies.
  • Developing presentation material as part of bids.
  • Proof‑reading responses for all stages of bids.
  • Maintaining our bid library responses.
  • Building to managing your own tender processes, including matrix managing bid teams of colleagues from across the business, and sometimes including our external partners.
  • Ad hoc support for the Head of Bid Management – this could include reviews, reports, information sharing etc.
Experience

We are looking for an individual with the following traits :

  • Ability to storyboard and write a response to a bid question is crucial.
  • Curiosity about the way our services are delivered and wants to know the way things work.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organisation skills.
  • Ability to work towards a deadline.
  • Interpersonal skills.

The individual in this role needs to be able to work flexibly where required, in line with peaks and troughs of external demands. This may mean working overtime from time to time, which will always be repaid via time in lieu.
