Job summary

Manpower in Belfast is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead bid proposals for mechanical, electrical, energy, and renewables projects. You will manage the bid lifecycle, coordinate with experts, and deliver compelling submissions for public and private sector opportunities.

The role requires excellent writing, editing, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on timely, compliant responses and winning content.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing public sector bids and writing bid submissions.
• Ability to produce clear, concise bid content under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and professional written/verbal communication.
• Collaborates with SMEs and stakeholders to gather evidence and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity review through submission and mobilisation.
• Lead preparation and submission of public and private sector bids to meet client specs.
• Produce persuasive bid content within strict deadlines.
• Review, edit and improve existing bid materials for quality and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information.
• Ensure full compliance with tender instructions and evaluation criteria.
• Prepare supporting materials for bid presentations and interviews.
• Maintain and improve the bid library with case studies and CVs.
• Guide colleagues to develop bid-writing capabilities across the team.
