Job summary

Balfour Beatty in London is seeking a seasoned Bid Manager to lead end-to-end tender activity across highways and water sectors. You will coordinate technical and commercial workstreams, manage proposals, and oversee submissions with internal teams and partners.

The role offers flexible working arrangements and travel to various offices, with focus on quality, compliance and winning outcomes. Strong writing, planning and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end bid processes across pre-tender, tender activity and proposals development.
• Strong ability to coordinate technical and commercial workstreams and develop robust solutions with accurate pricing.
• Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and partners.
• Proven ability to plan, manage and drive high-quality submissions to gate reviews and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end bid process across pre-tender preparation, tender activity, proposals development and final submission.
• Coordinate technical and commercial workstreams to develop robust solutions and support accurate pricing.
• Work collaboratively with bid partners, bid directors, supply chain teams and wider stakeholders to create compelling bid submissions.
• Plan and manage PQQ and ITT quality submissions using standard work winning tools and agreed ways of working.
• Oversee writers, reviewers, question owners and subject matter experts to ensure submissions are well-resourced and high quality.
