Job summary

De Vere Grand Hotel Birmingham is seeking capable bar support staff to back the Madeleine bar team. You will ensure the bar is stocked, maintain cleanliness, and assist with service across reception, kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware and stock.
• Keep bar and back-of-house areas clean and well maintained.
• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Deliver food and drinks to guests, noting allergens and dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with bar, floor, kitchen, hosts and hotel staff to provide top service.

A key and invaluable support for the Madeleine bar team and its operation.

Our Bar backs work behind-the-scenes to ensure the bartenders have the tools and ample stock to meet the guest needs, as well as deliver our food smoothly from kitchen to guest.

It is a great role for anyone who wants to gain experience in a bar setting, exposure to high-quality food and beverage products, and opportunity to learn key elements Grand Hospitality.

We are offering flexible hours to suit your availability and the needs of the business.

Work shift patterns are available through weekdays and weekends, days and evenings, and bank holidays.

What the role requires

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware and stock
• Keep the bar and back of house areas clean, organised and always well maintained
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Delivering food and drinks to the guest, paying particular attention to allergens, dietary requirements, special requests and occasions
• Work closely with the bar, floor, kitchen, hosts and wider hotel staff to ensure best possible service to all guests
