Job summary

The Grand Hotel Birmingham Limited is seeking a Bar Back to support the Madeleine bar team and its operation. You will help ensure the bar is stocked, assist in serving guests, and work across the hotel to provide smooth service during busy shifts.

You’ll gain experience in a high-quality food and beverage environment, with flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, days, evenings and bank holidays. Training and career development opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked with glassware and stock
• Keep the bar and back of house areas clean, organised and always well maintained
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Delivering food and drinks to the guest, paying particular attention to allergens, dietary requirements, special requests and occasions
• Work closely with the bar, floor, kitchen, hosts and wider hotel staff to ensure best possible service to all guests

Our Bar backs work behind-the-scenes to ensure the bartenders have the tools and ample stock to meet the guest needs, as well as deliver our food smoothly from kitchen to guest.

It is a great role for anyone who wants to gain experience in a bar setting, exposure to high-quality food and beverage products, and opportunity to learn key elements Grand Hospitality.

We are offering flexible hours to suit your availability and the needs of the business.

Work shift patterns are available through weekdays and weekends, days and evenings, and bank holidays.

What the role requires
