Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and software, seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage System and power infrastructure projects across the EMEA region. You will interface with internal teams, external partners, subcontractors, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will lead design reviews, ensure adherence to standards, and contribute to value engineering while supporting procurement and technical proposal assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, project engineering, or project execution within power, renewable energy, battery storage, or utility sectors.
• Familiarity with EPC project execution and applicable electrical codes/regulations in the EMEA region.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional European language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and power infrastructure projects across the EMEA region.
• Lead internal and external design review meetings and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards.
• Develop technical specifications, review vendor documentation, and assess proposals from suppliers.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and provide technical leadership throughout execution.
• Manage technical escalations and coordinate resolution of engineering issues impacting project performance.
