Industrial Connected Talent is supporting a rapidly growing automation business in the search for a Mechanical Design Engineer. This hands-on role focuses on bespoke machinery, automation equipment and robotic systems.

You will work across design, build and engineering development and collaborate with electrical, controls and manufacturing teams. The role requires a practical approach, SolidWorks proficiency and a willingness to contribute beyond pure design work.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years' experience within automation, machinery or manufacturing.
• Good understanding of tolerances, engineering principles and design for manufacture.
• Willingness to contribute beyond pure design work when required.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Experience specifying motors, drives or actuators.
• Exposure to robotics or automation projects.
• Understanding of motion control or integrated machinery systems.

Responsabilidades

• Produce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings
• Support concept development for bespoke machinery and robotic systems
• Work closely with electrical, controls and manufacturing teams
• Support the wider engineering team with occasional fitting or assembly work
• Help ensure projects are delivered against agreed engineering milestones
