Job summary

Cressida Consulting is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own end-to-end design of bespoke automation machinery, from concept to commissioning. You will collaborate with electrical and controls teams to deliver integrated robotic cells and complete systems for diverse industries.

The role focuses on hands-on design, CAD-driven development, and on-site factory acceptance, enabling rapid prototyping and tangible manufacturing improvements.

An established engineering company known for delivering tailored automation and robotics solutions to a broad range of industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of a growing automation and innovation team, with end‑to‑end ownership of machinery that solves real‑world manufacturing problems.

With in‑house fabrication, machining and electrical integration capabilities, this business delivers complete systems under one roof‑ ranging from high‑speed ultrasonic cutting to robotics and 3D vision inspection. Their clients span sectors such as food and beverage, automotive and packaging, and each project is a one‑off.
