Automation Experts in Leicestershire is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and delivery of bespoke automation and robotic machinery projects. You will design and detail machinery using 3D CAD and manage projects from sales handover to customer installation.

The role requires strong CAD skills (Solid Edge/SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo or equivalent), machine safety knowledge, and the ability to liaise with customers and cross-functional teams across the UK.

Qualificações

• Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in machinery automation design and product development.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and creating robust, manufacturable designs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of bespoke automation and robotic machinery projects.
• Design and detail machinery using 3D CAD (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar).
• Manage projects from sales handover through to customer acceptance and final installation.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure robust, cost-effective designs and manufacturability.
• Produce Bills of Materials, technical documentation and Technical Construction Files (TCFs).
• Collaborate with Electrical, Software and Manufacturing teams throughout project delivery.
• Support build, installation and commissioning activities and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with customers to understand requirements and review progress.
