Job summary

Sandwell Council's Bereavement Services team is seeking a conscientious, empathetic individual to join a award-winning service delivering burial and cremation arrangements and related tasks. You will work in one of our crematoria or cemeteries, supporting families with sensitive, respectful service.

Key duties include grounds maintenance to a high standard, operating required machinery, maintaining records, and liaising with bereaved families.

Qualifications

• A vocational qualification in English and Maths, or equivalent.
• Provisional licence to operate required machinery.
• Experience in cemetery, crematoria or grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver burial/cremation services and related tasks.
• Maintain grounds to a high standard and liaise with bereaved families.
• Record keeping and use of ICT applications.
• Deputise for Senior Registration Technician when needed.
