Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Whitworth is seeking a caring, patient Behaviour Support Worker to join our primary school team on a part-time basis. You will provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural needs and SEN, helping them achieve academic and emotional potential.

You will work with teachers and the school team to implement behaviour strategies, build confidence and resilience, and create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

  • Has experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural needs and/or SEN.
  • Is calm, patient, nurturing, and able to build positive relationships.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support children across the whole school.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to implement behaviour support strategies.
  • Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
