Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking a caring, resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join our primary school team near Leeds. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils who need help with emotional, social or behavioural challenges, helping them thrive in and out of the classroom.

The role emphasises inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to monitor progress and support safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support for pupils
• Implement individual behaviour and support plans
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, social skills and engagement in learning
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
• Record and monitor progress, behaviour incidents and interventions
• Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and safeguarding at all times.

You will work closely with pupils who require additional emotional, social or behavioural support to help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
