Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist school in Bradford to recruit a Behaviour Support Worker for long-term or day-to-day roles starting in September. You will provide 1:1 and classroom support, help pupils regulate behaviour and engage with learning, while confidently carrying out personal care and manual handling where required.

The role requires experience with SEMH or additional needs, strong communication and teamwork, and a calm, patient approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH or additional needs.
• Confident providing personal care and manual handling support.
• Experience working 1:1 and within a classroom environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships and effectively manage challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.

Responsibilities
