Job summary

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Behaviour Support Workers/Behaviour Intervention Assistants to work within specialist SEMH settings across Bolton. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential to meet this role’s needs.

• Support young people with SEMH and behavioural needs to engage with learning and daily activities
• Provide positive, consistent behaviour support and help develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Manage challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
• Work alongside teachers, pastoral staff and SEN professionals
• Help maintain a safe, structured and supportive environment
• Assist with creating a conducive learning environment and routine
• Support pupils to participate in learning and school activities

We are currently recruiting Behaviour Support Workers / Behaviour Intervention Assistants to work within specialist SEMH settings across Bolton.

The role:

• Supporting young people with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Providing positive, consistent behaviour support
• Helping pupils develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting pupils to engage with learning and daily activities
• Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and SEN professionals

We're looking for people who:

• Have experience working with children or young people
• Have experience in SEMH, SEN, behaviour support, youth work, care or similar
• Are calm, patient, resilient and consistent
• Can build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
