Job summary

Guardian Selection Limited is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support (SEN) practitioner to join a supportive SEN setting in Sheffield. You will provide tailored support to pupils with behavioural needs, working closely with teachers to promote engagement and wellbeing.

You will build calm, structured relationships, uphold safeguarding standards, and contribute to a safe, positive learning environment across the school day. An enhanced DBS and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Experience working with behavioural or emotional needs is advantageous.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain consistent when supporting challenging behaviour.
• A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them feel confident and engaged in school? A supportive SEN setting in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support professional to join their team.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Support professional, you will provide tailored support to pupils who may need additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, manage challenges and develop positive routines throughout the school day.

You will build consistent relationships with pupils while maintaining clear boundaries and a calm, structured approach.

To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support (SEN), you should:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
