Smile Education are recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to support students with behavioural, social and emotional needs in a secondary school in the Telford area. The role focuses on building confidence, positive relationships and helping learners engage more effectively with education.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, working with teaching and pastoral teams, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment where students can reach their potential.

Responsabilités

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students with behavioural, social or emotional needs.
• Building positive relationships and acting as a consistent role model.
• Helping students manage their behaviour, develop self-regulation and make positive choices.
• Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams to support individual student needs.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Supporting students to engage in lessons and overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitoring behaviour and progress, providing feedback to relevant staff.
• Implementing behaviour strategies and following school policies.
• Managing and de-escalating challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Promoting a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.
