Job summary

Engage Education is supporting a forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in the Rochdale Heywood area to recruit a Behaviour Support Mentor. The role focuses on supporting KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs through 1:1 and small group sessions.

You'll deliver engaging learning experiences, monitor progress and tailor support outside of class. A 2:2 UK degree and SEMH experience are essential for applying.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 UK based degree.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEMH needs is essential.
• Resilient, patient and hardworking.
• Ability to build rapport with challenging students.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group academic support for KS3 & KS4 students with SEMH needs.
• Create engaging learning experiences across a variety of subjects.
• Support outside of the classroom to monitor progression and address weak points.
• Contribute to a forward-thinking SEMH support department.
