This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours and achieve their full potential. Please note: previous experience working in schools or education is essential. We are specifically looking for candidates who have a proven background working within schools, colleges or other recognised educational settings. Applications from candidates without previous education-based experience will not be considered.
Experience working within SEN provisions, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), alternative provision or specialist educational settings is highly desirable, particularly for candidates who have supported pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will play an important role in helping pupils manage their behaviour, develop positive relationships and engage more effectively with their education. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and the school's wider support network to provide consistent, appropriate and nurturing support to pupils who may require additional intervention.
