Job summary

Veritas Education is recruiting a confident Behaviour Support Assistant to support students in a well‑established secondary school in Twickenham. The role focuses on SEMH support for learners across KS3 and KS4 with 1:1 and small‑group work.

You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff, assist with classroom routines and contribute to a new literacy programme. This full‑time, long‑term role offers training and development opportunities within education, youth work, coaching or SEMH

Qualifications

Confident, patient and proactive with young people
Ability to build rapport and communicate well
Interest in education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring or SEMH experience
Reliability, resilience and a strong team ethic
Previous experience with young people is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

Supporting students with SEMH across KS3 & KS4 in a range of subjects
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils stay engaged and make progress
Assisting with classroom routines, behaviour and lesson preparation
Building positive relationships with young people and acting as a reliable role model
Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support learning and wellbeing
Support the set up and running of a new literacy programme
