Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant in Spilsby to support pupils with behavioural needs on a supply basis, with a view to move into a full-time/permanent role. You will work within a specialist school setting in Spilsby, providing 1:1 and small-group support, building positive relationships and supporting pupils to re-engage with learning.

We are looking for calm, resilient candidates experienced in education, care or support work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with challenging behaviours in school, care or support settings.
• Calm, patient and resilient demeanor with the ability to remain composed.
• Confident at building positive relationships with young people.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Willing to work on a supply basis with potential for full-time/permanent role.

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a specialist school setting in Spilsby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in education, care, support work or a similar environment who wants to make a genuine difference to young people.

The Role

You will support pupils who may display challenging or complex behaviours, helping them develop positive behaviours, confidence and the skills needed to engage successfully with school life.

Key Responsibilities

• Experienced working with challenging behaviours, either in a school, care or support setting.

• Calm, patient and resilient, with the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.

• Confident building positive relationships with young people.

• Compassionate and understanding, while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.

• A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.

• Happy to work on a supply basis, with the potential to move into a full-time/permanent role when the right opportunity becomes available.
