Job summary

Milk Education in Salford is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs across a welcoming school community. This is a full-time, term-time role with a September start and potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will provide one-to-one and small group mentoring, build positive relationships, and work with teachers, pastoral teams and SENCOs to implement effective strategies that boost engagement, attendance and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, coaching, mentoring or support setting.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach when supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH, ASC, ADHD or challenging behaviour is desirable.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
