Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils' behaviour, engagement and wellbeing in North Somerset schools. This role suits someone who can work with both mainstream and SEN students, in 1:1 or small groups, under the guidance of teachers.

The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable and a strong communicator, with commitment to safeguarding. The position offers flexible shifts, term-time hours, and competitive pay with experience-dependent uplifts.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • A patient, positive and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
  • Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities
