Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support pupils’ behaviour, engagement and wellbeing in North Somerset schools. This role involves 1:1 and small group work, assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation, and providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs.

You will work closely with teachers, promote inclusion, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing during term-time hours.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
  • Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities

Behaviour Mentor

Location:North Somerset
Salary:£14.24 p/h - higher rates available depending on experience/qualifications
Contract Type:Full-time & part-time available
Start Date:November 2026

Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive schools across North Somerset to recruit dedicated Behaviour Mentors. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting pupils' behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing in a structured and supportive learning environment, while gaining valuable experience within the classroom.

We are looking for committed Behaviour Mentors who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour with both mainstream and SEN students of all ages, helping with engagement and confidence throughout the school day.

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:
  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)

  • Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs

Pay & Hours:14.24 p/h. Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only.
