Job summary

Academics in Thatcham, Berkshire is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist school team ASAP. The role offers a daily pay of £90-£105 and is a full-time position.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, build positive relationships, help them regulate emotions, and work with teachers to maintain a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Help children understand and manage their emotions and behavior.
• Use consistent and positive behaviour management approaches.
• Experience in SEN or behaviour support is beneficial but not essential.
• Recent graduates, youth workers or Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Help pupils understand and regulate their emotions and behaviour.
• Support pupils to develop coping strategies and social skills.
• Work with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Encourage engagement with education and remove learning barriers.
