Job summary

Aspire People are partnering with a SEN school in Hinckley seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with challenging behaviours and emotional needs. The role is Monday-Friday, term time only, with a daily rate of £105 and start ASAP dependent on availability.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils develop positive behaviours and coping strategies, support emotional regulation, build trusting relationships, and collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to create a

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children with challenging and complex behaviours.
• Help pupils develop positive behaviour and coping strategies.
• Support emotional regulation and social development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils.
• Help pupils re-engage with learning and the school environment.
• De-escalate challenging situations calmly and appropriately.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff and other professionals.
