Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Mentors to work in secondary schools across Dudley and surrounding areas. The role focuses on building positive relationships, supporting pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs, and motivating students to re-engage with learning.

Ideal candidates may come from sports coaching, university programmes or youth work. Full-time opportunities exist with PAYE payments, holiday pay, pension contributions and safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident and able to build positive relationships with teenagers.
• Ability to motivate and encourage young people.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Ability to manage challenging situations confidently and professionally.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Professional and reliable approach.
• Passion for supporting young people to succeed.
• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
• Supporting pupils with behavioural, social and emotional needs.
• Building positive relationships with young people.
• Using your skills and experience to motivate and encourage pupils.
• Supporting pupils to improve their behaviour and engagement.
• Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews where appropriate.
