Job summary

GSL Education Dudley is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to provide pastoral and behavioural support to pupils in Dudley and the surrounding area. The role involves one-to-one and small group mentoring, helping students manage behaviour, emotions, and engagement within a structured school setting.

Experience with young people and a calm, supportive approach are essential. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with young people or in behaviour support roles.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A calm, consistent, and supportive approach.
• Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring support.
• Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement.
• Implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
• Assist students during lessons and unstructured times.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.
