Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor in Hinckley. This SEN school role is term time only, Monday–Friday, with a daily rate of £105. You will support pupils with behavioural needs through 1:1 and small-group work, promoting emotional regulation and engagement in learning.

Ideal candidates will have experience with challenging behaviour, resilience, and strong teamwork, with a calm, patient approach and a commitment to safeguarding pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people who may display challenging behaviour or additional needs.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to working Monday-Friday, term time only.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.
• Support children with challenging and complex behaviours.
• Help pupils develop positive behaviour and coping strategies.
• Support emotional regulation and social development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Assist pupils re-engagement with learning and the school environment.
• De-escalate challenging situations calmly and appropriately.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff.
