Are you a graduate or experienced support worker looking for a rewarding role working with young people? Do you have a calm, patient and confident approach and enjoy helping others overcome challenges? This could be an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a secondary school while making a genuine difference to pupils.
We are looking for enthusiastic Behaviour Mentors who can build positive relationships with young people and support pupils who may experience difficulties with behaviour, confidence, engagement or learning. Your experience from education, youth work, mentoring, care, community work, coaching or other roles supporting young people could be highly transferable to this position.
Perhaps you are a recent graduate considering a career in teaching, an experienced youth worker looking to move into education, or someone with a natural ability to connect with young people and encourage positive behaviour. Previous school experience is desirable but not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who are resilient, approachable and able to remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging behaviour.
This Behaviour Mentor opportunity is based across Walsall and the surrounding areas, with a range of longer-term opportunities available within secondary schools.

Depending on the location of the school, opportunities may also be accessible from nearby areas including Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Birmingham, Dudley and Staffordshire.
This could be an ideal role for a graduate, youth worker, support worker or experienced mentor looking for a rewarding role working with young people in Walsall. It is particularly suited to individuals considering a future career in teaching, education, youth work, pastoral support or mentoring.
