Are you a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Mentor seeking a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with behavioural and social-emotional needs? Your Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
  1. Support Pupils 1:1 and in Small Groups: Work with children to improve behaviour, develop social skills, and build confidence.
  2. Implement Behaviour Plans: Support teachers in applying consistent and effective behaviour strategies.
  3. Promote Emotional Well-Being: Help pupils understand their emotions and develop strategies for self-regulation.
  4. Be a Positive Role Model: Inspire children to make positive choices and take responsibility for their actions.
  5. Collaborate with Staff and Parents: Maintain open communication with teachers, SENCOs, and families to ensure consistent support for pupils.

We're Looking For in a Behaviour Mentor:
  1. Experience Working with Behavioural Needs: Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour in a school or youth setting.
  2. Empathy and Understanding: A caring and non-judgemental approach to supporting pupils.
  3. Strong Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to adapt strategies to meet the individual needs of each child.
  4. Excellent Communication Skills: Confidence in engaging with pupils, staff, and parents.
  5. Commitment to Inclusion: A belief in helping every child achieve their potential.
