Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support across KS3 and KS4
Key Responsibilities
- Support students both inside the classroom and through targeted interventions
- Build positive and consistent relationships with students who require additional support
- Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Work alongside Heads of Year, pastoral teams, SEN staff and teachers
- Help students manage emotional regulation and barriers to learning
- Promote improved engagement, attendance and positive behaviour
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting challenging behaviour within a school or youth setting is essential. Previous behaviour support experience - essential
- Experience working with secondary-aged students across KS3 and/or KS4
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management and de-escalation
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or additional pastoral needs
- A calm, resilient and consistent approach when faced with challenging situations
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Learning Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant would be highly relevant
Full Time | Term Time Only | September 2026 Start
Up to £130 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm), Easily accessible from Hackney, Newham, Redbridge, Enfield and surrounding East and North London areas
