Job summary

Inspire Partnership Multi-Academy Trust (IPMAT) is seeking enthusiastic, caring and resilient Behaviour and SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team across our family of primary schools.

You will support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs and learning barriers, helping them access learning, develop positive behaviour strategies and build confidence in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred).
  • Understand, or be willing to develop, understanding of SEN and behaviour support.
  • Calm, patient and consistent in approach.
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Committed and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom and in small groups.
  • Assisting with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social development.
  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.

Contract: Day to Day, Long Term, Short Term, Temp to Perm / Term-time only (various hours available)
Salary: 82.62 - 99.14

About the Role

Inspire Partnership Multi-Academy Trust (IPMAT) is seeking enthusiastic, caring and resilient Behaviour and SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team across our family of primary schools.

You will support pupils who may have special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and behavioural or learning barriers. Your role will be to help pupils access learning, develop positive behaviour strategies, and build confidence and independence within a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils in the classroom and in small groups
  • Assisting with learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
  • Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social development
  • Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who:
