Empowering Learning in Wakefield is recruiting Behaviour Support Workers/Teaching Assistants to support pupils in a Primary and Secondary Special Needs School. Roles are 1:1 or small group, starting September, temp to perm. Pay £100-£110 per day, school hours 8.30 - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
You will work with children with autism, challenging behaviours and communication needs, assisting with classroom activities and contributing to a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

The teaching assistant will work closely with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is essential. Strong communication skills are also important for effectively collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues. The ability to adapt to different situations and handle challenging behaviours is crucial.
