GM Performance Power Units seeks a Battery Controls Engineer to advance embedded software for the HV battery management system, cells, and related components. You will work within the ERS team on real-time control, diagnostics, and high-performance software in a motorsport setting.

The role requires strong C/C++ expertise, RTOS experience, and knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and UART. Collaboration with controls and hardware teams is essential for trackside testing and regulatory

Competenze

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related discipline; OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with battery management systems and battery control algorithms (protection/derating, SOC, SOH).
• Familiarity with HV battery physics, high voltage bus networks, and embedded hardware interfaces.

Mansioni

• Develop, test, and maintain embedded software for HV battery management and related components.
• Implement sensor data acquisition, hardware abstraction layers, real-time comms, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams; perform MiL/SiL/HiL testing and trackside validation.
• Create robust requirements and unit tests; ensure software quality and regulatory compliance.
