Job summary

Maki & Ramen in Gateshead is seeking an experienced Bartender with Front of House experience to join our growing dining brand. You will craft beverages and deliver friendly, attentive service to guests in a dynamic setting.

As part of a vibrant team, you will take orders, manage the bar area, handle payments, and support guest seating and service while upholding licensing, hygiene, and safety standards. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities to grow with the brand.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience preferred, especially bartending.
• Front-of-house experience valued.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
• Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests
• Take drink and food orders accurately and efficiently
• Manage the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and stock levels
• Handle payments and process transactions correctly
• Support front-of-house operations by greeting, seating, and assisting guests when required
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and courteously
• Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, and safety standards

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
• Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests
