Job summary

Maki & Ramen is looking for an experienced and adaptable Kitchen Assistant to lead the launch of a new site. If you're ready to join a vibrant, expanding team, we’d love to hear from you.

You'll support chefs with food prep, keep the kitchen clean, handle stock and duties during service, and work 45-50 hours per week on a full-time basis. Competitive pay (£12.71-£13.00 per hour, with tips) and tasty team meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and time management.
• Quick learner with attention to detail.
• Previous kitchen experience (a plus, not required).
• Food safety certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with food prep (chopping, washing, etc.)
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards
• Restock supplies as needed during service
