Job summary

Hotel Indigo Gloucester has a fantastic opportunity for a Bartender to join our growing team on a 16-hour per week contract, earning £13.20 per hour (£10,982.40 salary plus service charge).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as bartender / cocktail bartender.
• Depth of knowledge regarding wines, spirits, beers and cocktails.
• Ability to provide recommendations to guests based on preferences.

Responsibilities

• Create guests' drinks orders, mix cocktails and pour specialty drinks.
• Recommend drinks based on individual preferences and knowledge of categories.
• Work with F&B team to ensure excellent guest experience and manage allergen information.

You will earn £13.20 per hour, which is equal to £10,982.40 salary plus service charge.

As a bartender, you enjoy variety and are at your best when being part of a team as well as being passionate about delivering excellent guest service through delivering high-quality food & beverages to all guests.

Your main duties will be:

• Creating our guests’ drinks orders, mixing cocktails and pouring speciality drinks (you will confident in pouring and creating a wide-range of drinks for our guests) – we are looking for someone with experience working in a Bar as a Bartender or Mixologist!
• Providing recommendations based on individual preferences (you will have a depth of knowledge regarding wines, spirits, beers and cocktails – being able to provide recommendations to our guests based on their individual flavour preferences) - it would be desirable to have knowledge of all drink categories and a creative mindset, keen to share your knowledge with others and delight our guests!
• Working in a team to create an excellent environment for our guests, staying aware intolerances and allergies (you will be working closely with our wider F&B team to ensure our guests have an excellent experience, you will communicate in a positive and clear manner and be aware of existing allergen information and training) – excellent communication and personable skills are essential for this role!

To succeed as a Bartender, you will need:

• To be passionate about delivering great service and be a mixologist by trade
• Minimum of 1 year experience as bartender / cocktail bartender
• Experience with working with customers in a busy environment
• To be willing to learn new things and work as part of a wide hotel team
