Job summary

Shepherd Neame is seeking a Team Leader for the George & Dragon, a traditional English pub, to lead the bar team and support daily operations. You will set the tone for service, motivate staff, and ensure high standards while delivering memorable guest experiences at this historic venue.

The role offers permanent, full-time status with hourly pay and tips, plus training and development opportunities across Shepherd Neame’s pubs and brands.

Where You'll Be Working

Known by locals as Village HQ, the George & Dragon is a traditional English pub with a menu that celebrates the absolute best of British. A large, open garden space is perfect for summer evenings. For our sports lovers we have indoor and outdoor TV's screening all the latest live sports.

What You'll Do

• Lead by example, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members.
• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing duties.
• Motivate and coach the team to deliver exceptional service and uphold company standards.
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked, clean, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Contribute ideas to improve service and team performance.
